How Not To Use Ur Fone
Haba! this guy is driving, at same time making a fone call. This's very unethical.
FONE ETIQUETTE – How not to use your cell phone
Since the cell phone phenomenon burst into our lives, things have not remained the same. All the rules of etiquette we grew up with have crumbled like shop-soiled cookies: “Never talk too loudly”, “Never eavesdrop on people’s conversation”,” Never tell lies”, “Never wash your dirty linen in public”,” Never speak with food in your mouth and so on; sadly nowadays, the new rule of engagement is a crisp one-liner: never say “never”.
So phone users shout their conversations, cause others to eavesdrop on their dirty linen, and tell lies on the phone with impunity, sometimes to the hearing of younger, impressionable people for whom they should be laying good example.
It has come to my notice that phone users have thrown caution to the winds. Hear this: one phone addict abuser actually asked the interviewer to excuse him as he took his call mid interview! What about loud, offensive ring tones or indecent lyrics or grate the nerves and phones that ring in churches, weddings, meetings, during presentations et cetera.
So how can we maintain decorum in the cell phone age? Here is how….
· DON’T SHOUT: speak in hushed tones, knowing that a mobile phone has a sensitive microphone capable of picking up a soft voice. Sensitivity to other people’s needs and comforts is a sign of good character.
· TAKE TEN-TO-TWENTY PACES AWAY FROM ANYONE WHILE TALKING: this is to avoid being a bore & also to maintain privacy.
· NEVER TALK WHILE DRIVING: even if you’re armed with your hands-free, talking while driving is quite distracting.
· NEVER MULTI-TASK: by making calls while shopping, banking, and waiting in line or conducting other personal business.
· DON’T USE LOUD & ANNOYING RING TONES: that destroy concentration & eardrums. The more crowded the situation, the quieter & softer the volume of voice & ring. It’s absolutely loutish, period!
· NEVER TALK WITH FOOD IN YOUR MOUTH: Never mind that the called isn’t physically present. Food-in-the-mouth is discernable and unbecoming. What’s worse, it signals respects.
PLS, PRACTICE THESE RULES EVERYDAY, they'll certainly help & also save u 4rm a lot of harzards!!!
